Our Outreach
The Organization for Technology Advancement of Cold Chain in West Africa (OTACCWA) is actively seeking synergy and collaborations with both the government and private sector to develop the cold chain industry in Nigeria and West Africa. OTACCWA aims to build a sustainable cold chain infrastructure that enhances the region's agricultural productivity, reduces post-harvest losses, and facilitates better access to global markets by ensuring compliance with international standards such as HACCP. Through strategic partnerships, OTACCWA is focused on fostering innovation, improving logistics, and creating investment opportunities to strengthen the supply chain for perishable goods.

By working closely with government bodies, such as the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, as well as private sector players, the organization aims to establish robust cold storage facilities, processing plants, and modern transport systems. These efforts are crucial in scaling up the agro-processing industry, particularly in sectors like tomato paste/puree production, and improving food safety across the region. The collaborative efforts also involve initiatives like the West Africa Cold Chain Summit and Exhibition (WACCSE), deal rooms to attract investment, and the creation of business-friendly platforms like the Nigerian Pavilion at global exhibitions.

This outreach aligns with the broader goal of improving food security, supporting economic development, and enhancing the region’s competitiveness in international trade.
